Original cast members to return?
There has been a lot of talk recently about Blair Witch 3, and what it may be about. The Toronto Star recently spoke with Eduardo Sanchez, one of the minds behind the original Blair Witch film, who stated that he and co-writer/director Daniel Myrick recently wrote a treatment for a third film, which includes small roles for original cast members Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams. He also stated that the film would not focus on the characters speaking directly to the camera, and more on what he calls "mixed first-person", which he hopes to experiment with on Possessed, another low budget film he is working on. Here is what he has to say on the status of the film…
"We're at the step where we're about to pitch to Lionsgate, which owns the movie rights now. It's pretty much up to them. They can completely squash it or greenlight it."

I'm sure it will get a green light due to Paranormal Activity and if they can do something innovative with the camera work its going to happen. Like it or not. I didn't really care much for Blair Witch Two the first one was ok but it gets way too much credit for what it is.

Flashbacks? "new" footage recovered from the first movie? There's lots of possibilities if you use a bit of imagination.

no sir. You fail. We never saw the characters actually die. With the blair witch time line they could still be alive. Or controlled by the witch

Go Go Blair Witch 3!!! Give us closure...
They could easily use original cast members. A look back at what happened to them?? Why assume Josh died, we heard him through the end but never see him get killed...Don't really know that Michael died, he was standing in the corner when Heather got hit from behind..
